Mt Tam Summit
I climbed through the fog blanketing the Bay and arrived at the summit
of Mt Tam. Mt Tam is pretty much the longest sustained climb hereabouts
and its pretty fun if you don't go back the way you came (down a rocky fire road).
There are many alternatives heading down the north side of the mountain.
While I took this photo on a timer, I noticed a sweet boulder, and decided
to climb it. I soon realized that cycling shoes are very bad rock climbing
companions, and that most of the rock on Mt. Tam is incredibly crumbly.
It was an excellent ride, however, and the best training around fro Downieville.
